About The UK Trades Awards

The UK Trades Awards is an independent awards programme that celebrates excellence across the British skilled trades. We exist to give the people who build, fix, fit and finish this country the recognition they have always deserved and rarely received.

Who we are

We are an independent, London based awards body dedicated entirely to the trades. Not a trade association, not a membership club, and not tied to any single manufacturer or supplier. Our only job is to find brilliant tradespeople and companies and put them on a stage in front of their industry.

From groundworkers and roofers to electricians, plumbers, flooring specialists, painters and decorators, cladding contractors and the firms that pull whole projects together, the trades keep the country standing up and running. We think that work is worth celebrating properly.

Why we were set up

The idea came from a simple frustration. Awards nights are everywhere in professional life, yet the people doing some of the most skilled, most demanding work in the country almost never got one. A group of people who had spent their working lives in and around the trades decided that needed fixing.

So we built the kind of awards we always wished existed. Rigorous enough to mean something, open enough that a two-van firm can win against a national contractor, and run by people who understand the difference between a good job and a job that just looks good in a photo.

What we stand for

We believe skilled work should carry status. We believe standards, training and safety are worth rewarding, not just talked about. And we believe recognition changes things, because a firm that wins turns that into pride, into new work, and into apprentices who want to join a trade that celebrates its best.
