Mission and Values
Raising the status of the skilled trades by celebrating the people who do the work brilliantly.
Our mission is simple: to raise the status of the skilled trades in Britain by celebrating the people and companies who do the work brilliantly. Everything we run comes back to that one goal.
Our mission
We want a country where being great at a trade carries the same status as any other profession. Where a young person choosing an apprenticeship feels they are stepping into something respected, not settling for it. We chase that goal by shining a proper light on the very best work in the industry, every single year.
Our values
Craft over noise
We reward the quality of the work, not the size of the marketing budget. A brilliant floor, a flawless roof or a perfectly run project speaks for itself, and our job is to make sure it gets heard.
Standards matter
Good trades are built on standards, training and safety. We champion the firms that take those things seriously, because doing a job right the first time is the mark of a true professional.
Open to everyone
A small firm can beat a national one here. Our categories are built so that a two-van outfit doing exceptional work has a genuine shot against the giants. Talent is not measured in headcount.
Recognition changes lives
We have seen what a win does. It lifts a team, wins new work, and gives owners a reason to be proud of what they have built. Recognition is not a nice-to-have, it is fuel.
Our goals
We are working towards a few things that matter. To make trade recognition genuinely national, reaching every region and every discipline. To help pull more young people into the trades by showing them an industry that celebrates its best. And to keep raising the bar, so that winning a UK Trades Award always means something real.
If that sounds like your kind of standard, take a look at the awards and categories we run, and see how our judging works so you know exactly what a win is built on.
